Professional Experience

Syndicate Sales (2014 – present)

Web Developer

Supervisor: Gabe Rice / Joe Dishon

For the past year, I have worked at Syndicate Sales as a Web Developer using VB.NET, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, CSS, HTML, C#, and ASP Classic (VBSCRIPT6). My job duties have included updating web content, developing a Fleet tracking service as a standalone web app, using T-SQL, developing several search and filtering web utilities using ASP.NET, converting ASP Classic to .NET, training an intern (in CSS - Responsive Design - HCI - .NET), updating PHP sister sites along with building a mobile (Responsive) version of the company's public website which integrates with our company's ERP (Microsoft Dynamics - Navision) to provide dynamic and manageable content. The new public site also includes a back-end CMS for control over page layouts and content where I have been adding tools daily.  I develop for all major browsers for cross-compatibility. Along with my job responsibilities, I have implemented plans for a company FAQ.

MIM Corporation (2009 – 2013)

CNC Programmer

Supervisor: Steven Miller

I have worked part-time at M.I.M. Corp for the last two years while attending school at Indiana University Kokomo. My duties have included CNC programming and machine maintenance. In 2011, we started liquidating some of the tooling and a few of the machines. The liquidation led into the introduction to my first actual computer programming experience as I tampered with the PHP-based OpenCart CMS to try and create an eCommerce site (I used HTML and JavaScript back in 2000 as Hewitt's System Administrator but I don't consider either of those as real programming experiences as they were basically copy and paste sessions).

Logansport State Hospital (2003 – 2009)

Psychiatric Attendant

Supervisor: Michael Donnelley

I learned to work well in group environments as I worked on a behavioral unit with 3-5 other staff and supervised anywhere from 20 to 30 patients. We worked diligently to make sure patients followed their rehabilitation treatment plans. I learned to keep daily records of patient behavior, work with Psychiatrists, Behavioral Clinicians and other staff in goal-oriented conferences. I received or developed the following skills:

    • Training in Therapeutic Intervention techniques
    • CPR Training and Certifications
    • Emergency and Safety Training
    • Excellent Communication skills
    • Excellent abilities to work well in intense situations
    • Excellent abilities to work with others

Logansport YMCA (2001 – 2003)

Assistant Youth Director

Supervisor: Randy Arterberry

I worked with the Youth Director to develop youth leagues and schedule games. I worked with children and parents in basketball, tee-ball, soccer, and flag football leagues. Assisting families with their children’s development was a very rewarding job that I hope to do again in the future as a volunteer.
